Bye-bye, 2018! Hello, Future!

Updated: Jan 6, 2019

Year-end reviews are difficult for me. My borderline type-A personality likes to focus on what I didn't get done, rather than what I accomplished. But this year I've promised to be kinder to myself.

So, with that goal in mind, allow me to brag for a second...

I wrote a book!

Actually, make that TWO books.

The Christmas Calendar and Wandering Ivy are both going through revisions, and The Christmas Calendar will be ready to publish THIS year (2019). I can hardly believe it! Someone pinch me. Okay, don't pinch me. But pat me on the back. Then push me into my desk chair because the darn book is not going to edit itself.

2018 was the year my author adventure began. And it's been a breathless whirlwind ever since. Somedays I feel invincible, and other days I feel delusional. But most of the time, I can't believe I'm lucky enough to bring these stories to life! And that people actually want to read them. Honestly, it's the most fabulous feeling.

So, what's in store for 2019? Let's see...

  • Release a free novella in February (to my newsletter subscribers).

  • Finish the final edits for The Christmas Calendar (Book 1 in the Poppy Creek Series), which releases on October 1st ~ National Coffee Day, of course!

  • Develop an exclusive coffee blend for a special giveaway promoting the release of The Christmas Calendar.

  • RELEASE THE CHRISTMAS CALENDAR! *I might be a tad excited about this. ;)

  • Finish the final edits for Wandering Ivy, to be released the following year.

  • Write and revise The Truth in Tiramisu (Book 2 in the Poppy Creek Series), also to be released the following year.

  • BONUS GOAL: Complete Book 3 in the Poppy Creek Series.

Oh, and continue working for the family coffee roasting business, being the blessed wife of the most wonderful husband in the world, and the mom to two practically perfect pups. Plus, prepare for two international trips: one to Lebanon and one to Spain. And whatever else life throws our way!

Looking at my goals for 2019 makes me both exhilarated and exhausted. But mostly, it makes me incredibly thankful. Thankful the Lord is guiding me through it. Thankful for my family and friends who support me and cheer me on. And thankful for you. I couldn't do this without you. Which, I know sounds cheesy, but it's true! And I absolutely love what I do. So, thank you for making it not only possible but a delight.

Are you as excited for 2019 as I am??

I'd love to hear what's on the horizon for you.

Let me know in the comments below.

And let's cheer each other on toward our goals, shall we?

Happy New year!!
